Job summary

Halmer Recruit is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Gardener for an immediate two-week temporary assignment in Wimbledon and surrounding areas. You will drive the company van, collect the Assistant Gardener from Raynes Park each morning, and tend approximately three high-end private gardens daily with professional client interaction.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of two years in garden maintenance, are comfortable using mowing and trimming tools, and hold a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' garden maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous experience working within private residential gardens.
• Confident using mowers, hedge cutters, blowers and general gardening equipment.
• Full clean UK driving licence essential.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Gardener for an immediate temporary assignment working across high-end private residential gardens in Wimbledon and the surrounding area.

The position is due to start Monday and will initially run for two weeks.

You will be responsible for driving the company van, collecting an Assistant Gardener from Raynes Park each morning and travelling between approximately three private gardens per day.

This role would suit an experienced garden maintenance professional who is confident working in high-end residential environments, can manage their daily workload and is comfortable dealing professionally with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general garden maintenance across high-end private residences
• Hedge cutting and trimming
• Lawn mowing and edging
• Use blowers and other garden maintenance equipment
• Weeding, tidying and general garden presentation
• Ensure gardens are left clean and presented to a high standard
• Drive the company van between properties
• Collect the Assistant Gardener from Raynes Park each morning
• Work effectively alongside the Assistant Gardener throughout the day
• Complete approximately three gardens per day depending on schedule
• Communicate professionally with clients when required
• Operate equipment safely and follow appropriate Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

• Minimum two years' garden maintenance experience preferred

• Full clean UK driving licence essential
• Must meet the company's vehicle insurance requirements
• Comfortable driving a company van around South West London
• Good understanding of Health & Safety when using gardening equipment
• Able to work efficiently to a daily schedule
• Professional and presentable when attending clients' homes
• Reliable and punctual
• Available to start Monday for the full two-week assignment

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8.30am: Collect Assistant Gardener from Raynes Park
9.00am: First garden
Approximately 4.30pm-5.00pm: Finish

The team will normally attend approximately three gardens per day.

Pay

£14.78-£17.93 per hour, depending on experience.
