Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST)

Location: Manchester

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: £38,377 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment (1:4 x 13 Periods), Overtime + Travel Time)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients. This role requires an electrically qualified professional with a strong background in multi-skilled maintenance. The position involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment within retail outlets. The successful candidate will conduct regular planned store visits, carrying out reactive maintenance, scheduled PPMs, and minor repairs as requested by the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
2. Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
3. Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
4. Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City management.
5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

1. NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
2. City and Guilds 18th Edition.
3. AM2 / 2391.

The ideal candidate:

1. Full driving license.
2. Experience using a PDA system.
3. Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
4. Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.
