Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to support high-profile regional contracts across the North of the UK and Scotland. You will perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple commercial sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and minimal disruption to client activities.

The role offers a full-time, permanent position with a dedicated company van, fuel card, pension, and 33 days leave.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 Qualification.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
• Strong diagnostic and practical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic IT literacy with mobile devices for timesheets, PPMs, and safety reporting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and air conditioning systems.
• Experience in a mobile multi-site maintenance role.
• Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned and reactive electrical and facilities maintenance tasks via CAFM on handheld device.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies, risk assessments, and site security protocols.
• Perform fault-finding, diagnostic analysis, and inspections across electrical and building services systems.
• Maintain electronic records, statutory compliance logs, and site logbooks.
• Act as a key technical point of contact for local site representatives with clear communication.
• Oversee sub-contractor works when required and mentor apprentices on-site.
• Manage vehicle stock levels and ensure plant rooms and work areas remain clean and organized.

In this role, you will deliver planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple commercial sites, ensuring all operations remain safe, compliant, and fully operational with minimal disruption to client activities.

Package & Benefits

• Salary between 45,000 - 48,000 per annum depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (40 hours).
• Full-time and permanent.

Key Responsibilities
