Job summary

Omega Resource Group is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to work on leading supermarket contracts. You will maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant in retail outlets, perform regular store visits to complete reactive tasks, PPMs and minor non-electrical repairs.

The role includes completing PPM schedules, performing emergency lighting tests, and advising on fault replacements, with overtime and travel time paid. A pension and private healthcare are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation or maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• AM2/2391 electrical test qualification.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenance.
• Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise the Line Manager with replacement recommendations.

Job description

Omega is supporting a leading facilities management provider in recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team and work on leading supermarket contracts. The role involves maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive tasks, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer (including non‑electrical).

Key Responsibilities

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver reactive and planned catering and bakery equipment maintenance.
• Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests and repairs.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites.
• Identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation or maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 / 2391.
