Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to cover Chester and surrounding retail sites. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across allocated sites, ensuring safety, compliance and operation with a team of engineers. The role is electrically focused within a wider maintenance team.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence. FM/retail experience is useful, with a 1 in 4 call-out rota and paid overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding
• Full UK driving licence
• FM/retail/commercial maintenance experience useful

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs
• Electrical fault finding and general remedial works
• Completing electrical compliance and statutory maintenance
• Emergency lighting testing and repairs
• Fire alarm testing and associated checks
• Lighting repairs and replacements
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs within agreed timescales
• Supporting other engineers with larger maintenance jobs when required
• Completing job sheets, maintenance records and compliance paperwork
• Updating jobs through the maintenance management system
• Liaising with store teams and other engineers
• Attending other sites within the local area when required
• Participating in a 1 in 4 call-out rota

An experienced Maintenance Electrician is required to join a well-established facilities management business, covering a number of retail sites across Chester and the surrounding areas. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across your allocated sites, working alongside other engineers and technicians to keep stores safe, compliant and operational. This would suit a qualified electrician with experience in FM, retail or commercial maintenance who is comfortable working across multiple sites.

The position is mainly electrically focused, although you'll work as part of a wider maintenance team and may assist with general building services tasks where required.

What You'll Need

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance, or recognised apprenticeship equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Full UK driving licence

Previous experience within facilities management, retail or commercial maintenance would be useful.

Salary & Package

• 37,289 basic salary
• 2,535 annual standby payments39,824 before overtime
• Paid travel time
• Overtime at 1.5x Monday to Friday
• Overtime at 2x Saturday and Sunday
