Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting an experienced LCV Mobile Technician in Chelmsford to service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles at customer sites and roadside locations. You’ll diagnose faults, complete routine servicing, and ensure high safety and quality standards while working in a dynamic mobile role.

The position offers Monday–Friday hours with overtime, company pension and a structured development programme leading to Master Technician, plus generous annual leave and ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in light commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with good problem-solving ability.
• Full UK Driving Licence and a valid UK employment status.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on light commercial vehicles at customer sites and roadside locations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimum downtime.
• Complete routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
• Work with brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Iveco and Ford.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while working independently in a mobile role.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

LCV Mobile Technician

Location: Chelsmford
Salary: £35,500 - £37,570 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (No Weekend Work)

The Role:

What We're Looking For:

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as an LCV Mobile Technician, LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue developing your technical skills
