Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across various commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters, and recordkeeping.
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Test HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Ensure statutory compliance with F–Gas regulations.
• Install air conditioning systems as required.
• Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labor costs, to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work.
• Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
• Immediately escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota for emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with team members and liaise with subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient operation without disrupting clients.

Skills and Experience

• Experience with a range of air conditioning equipment, including VRVs, VRFs, and splits.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
• Fault-finding experience on traditional and modern plant equipment.
• Ability to work safely and diligently.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning.
• FGAS Category 1 certification.
• Electrical qualifications are beneficial.
• IPAF/PASMA certification is advantageous.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Contract-specific vetting, including financial and employment background checks.
• Manufacturer courses or knowledge are desirable.
