Job summary
Strata Talent Group Limited is seeking 10 experienced HGV Technicians for a home-start field role within the UK. You will operate with a company van, fuel card, tools, diagnostic equipment, company phone and tablet, servicing and repairing HGVs and trailers across designated regions, mainly focusing on trailer maintenance.
Tail lift and double deck trailer experience are highly advantageous. Technicians will cover territories within 60-90 minutes of their home address, visiting customer sites
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an HGV, Trailer, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.
- Experience servicing and repairing commercial trailers and HGVs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Service and repair HGVs and trucks.
- Complete occasional repairs and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment, including Jaltest systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Travel to customer sites within the assigned coverage area.
