Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a field service team covering Oldbury and the surrounding area. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles at customer sites and on the roadside.

The candidate must hold an HGV Level 3 qualification, possess a Class 1 (C+E) license, and have prior HGV/Mobile HGV experience including MOT preparation. A 7:00am–4:00pm weekday schedule with no weekends is offered along with a generous sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have an HGV Level 3 qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair).
• Class 1 (C+E) licence essential.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mobile HGV Mechanic, including MOT prep.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and heavy commercial vehicles at customer sites and at the roadside.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out inspections, safety checks, MOT preparation and breakdown repairs.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
