Job summary

Econ Engineering Ltd. is recruiting a Mobile HGV Technician to service our winter maintenance fleet around Cardiff and surrounding areas. The role involves field-based breakdowns and site visits, with summer work in the Cardiff workshop.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years’ experience repairing HGV/PSV, with advantage given to those who have Mobile HGV Technician experience and possess an HGV Class 2 license. Training and support from our team are provided.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience repairing and maintaining HGV/PSV.
Experience as Mobile HGV Technician or similar role is advantageous.
Proactive, team-oriented, with flexibility for seasonal work.

Responsibilities

Breakdown and repair services to minimise downtime during peak winter periods.
Fault diagnosis using diagnostics equipment and perform necessary repairs.
Preventative maintenance and routine servicing following manufacturer guidelines.
Document maintenance records on a tablet, keep records up-to-date.
Work with a high-spec van and specialised tools; receive training from manufacturing facilities and local team.
