Job summary
Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Technician / Mechanic to join a busy mobile team covering Oldbury, Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles for multiple brands, with a focus on safety and quality, in a role offering variety, autonomy and strong earning potential.
The position runs Monday to Friday, 8-5 with no weekends, and includes a structured five-stage progression towards Master Technician.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Full UK, Irish, or EU Manual Driving Licence with up to 6 points.
- Previous experience working on HGVs.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Passion for vehicle maintenance and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles.
- Work on leading manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford.
- Ensure vehicles meet high safety and quality standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Carry out mobile maintenance and repair activities.
- Support workshop operations when required.
