Job summary

Holt-Recruitment in Peterborough is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to service and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles at customer sites across Peterborough and surrounding areas. This mobile role offers a strong earning potential, a company van, and a structured work week.

The successful candidate will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and MOT prep, work Monday to Friday, 45 hours, with flexible start times.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Experience working on HGVs, trucks or commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing MOT preparation work.
• Attending customer sites across Peterborough and surrounding areas.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards.

Mobile HGV Technician – Peterborough Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a mobile role that offers excellent earning potential, a company van, and a great work-life balance?

We're recruiting for a Mobile HGV Technician to cover Peterborough and the surrounding areas, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of commercial vehicles at customer sites.

  • 6:00am – 3:30pm
  • 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • 8:00am – 5:30pm

The Role

As a Mobile HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing MOT preparation work
• Attending customer sites across Peterborough and the surrounding areas
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards
• Maintaining accurate job records and paperwork

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Experience working on HGVs, trucks or commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
