Mobile HGV Mechanic Opportunity

Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on Fire Vehicles, Aircraft Equipment (GSE Only), and other manufacturer’s products on customer premises.

Duties of the Mobile HGV Mechanic

• Conduct visual or operational checks and identify worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts.
• Perform technical inspections using manuals and diagnostic tools to find and repair faulty machine parts or systems.
• Inspect accident-damaged machines and produce detailed reports for repairs.
• Be prepared to work away from home, often with unsociable hours, to complete jobs.

Experience/Skills Required

• Knowledge of Fire Vehicles
• Knowledge of the latest diagnostic systems
• City and Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems or equivalent
• Substantial experience in Auto Electrician fault diagnosis and repairs, including electronic diagnostic equipment
• Experience with heavy goods or specialist vehicles
• Valid UK driving license
