Job summary
SER Limited in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter for a mobile role covering rail plant machinery. You will service and repair excavators, loading shovels, dumpers, and related equipment across sites in and around Birmingham.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in heavy plant maintenance, strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge, and holds a full UK driving license. Overtime and a competitive hourly rate apply.
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Full UK driving license; mobile role across sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy plant including rail plant.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure safety standards.
- Respond to on-call duties and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and parts used.
- Liaise with clients and team for efficient delivery.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
