Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Mobile Gas Engineer (Commercial) based from HMP Leicester, covering a regional patch of sites. Permanent, full-time 39 hours per week 08:00-17:00 with 1 in 4 weekends and a 15% shift allowance.

Salary £35,504 - £44,830 depending on experience, plus a company van and fuel card. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems, service appliances, and support upgrades.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with commercial qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/A).
• Experience working on commercial gas systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
• Servicing and inspecting appliances, including combustion analysis and testing.
• Working on boilers, heaters, water systems and ventilation.
• Supporting upgrades, installations and minor works.
• Ensuring safe, compliant working in line with industry and site standards.
