Job summary

Amey is seeking a Mobile Gas Engineer (Commercial) based from HMP Nottingham, covering a regional patch of approximately 8 sites. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems, servicing boilers, heaters, and water systems, and support upgrades.

The role is permanent, full-time (39 hours/week, 08:00-17:00) with 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance) and includes a company van and fuel card, offering clear career progression within a growing Mobile Team.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with commercial qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/A).
• Experience working on commercial gas systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Working on boilers, heaters, water systems and ventilation.
