Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients. Your responsibilities will include carrying out maintenance and repairs, including fabric and basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract. You will ensure all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to legislative standards, with all paperwork submitted within deadlines.

1. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete reports.
2. Ensure statutory and mandatory tasks are completed on time, with correct certification and clear remedial works identification.
3. Carry out reactive and emergency tasks, utilizing handheld technology effectively.
4. Participate in a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support to clients.
5. Assist team members and source additional opportunities or works on-site, providing information for quotes.
6. Monitor subcontractors' work quality and safety standards, issue permits, and manage small works and escort duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines. Experience should include maintenance, testing, and fault finding on equipment such as boilers, ventilation systems, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, and small power and lighting. Knowledge of Health & Safety practices is essential.
