The role involves ensuring all PPM and Reactive tasks meet legislative standards and that all paperwork is completed and submitted within specified timescales.
Your responsibilities will include performing Planned Preventative Maintenance, completing necessary reports, and ensuring all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed on time. As a Gas Engineer, you will carry out reactive and emergency tasks, using handheld technology effectively to complete all tasks.
Candidates must be available for a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support to clients, assist team members as directed by a Supervisor or Contract Manager, and proactively source additional opportunities or works on-site. You will monitor visiting subcontractors regarding work standards and health and safety, issue permits, control small works, and escort duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines. You should have experience in maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on equipment such as boiler plants, ventilation systems, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable). Knowledge of health & safety practices and safe working procedures is essential.
