Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients, carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work of buildings as required under contract. The role involves ensuring all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards, with all paperwork completed and submitted within specified timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and completing relevant paperwork and reports.
2. Ensuring all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within deadlines, with correct certification and clear identification of remedial works.
3. Performing reactive and emergency tasks, using handheld technology effectively.
4. Being on a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support to clients.
5. Assisting team members as directed by Supervisors or Contract Managers.
6. Proactively sourcing additional opportunities or works on-site and providing information for quotes.
7. Monitoring subcontractors regarding work standards and Health & Safety, issuing permits, and managing small works and escort duties as required.
