Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to cover South Yorkshire and occasionally nationwide. You will service and repair forklifts and related plant machinery, diagnosing faults across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems while delivering on-site support to customers.

The role requires a self-motivated engineer with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. A field-based position offering a £40,000 base with unlimited overtime and a company van.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Mobile Technician.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel across the region and wider UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair forklifts, material handling equipment and plant machinery.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Provide on-site support as a mobile service engineer.
• Deliver professional service and keep customers updated.
