Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer in the United Kingdom, covering on-site and mobile service across sites. The role includes servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks, diagnosing faults, LOLER inspections, and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

Overtime opportunities abound with enhanced rates, and a company van with fuel card is provided. Requirements include hands-on experience with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, good fault-finding

Qualifications

Experience as Forklift Engineer / Plant fitter or similar.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems.
Nice to have LOLER inspection knowledge.
Stable work history and desire for long-term career with one employer.

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Carrying out LOLER inspections where applicable.
Responding to breakdowns and performing reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
Completing service reports and all relevant compliance documentation accurately.
Based primarily at one site with mobile duties as required.
