Holt Recruitment is working with a well-established forklift company to recruit a Mobile Forklift Engineer covering Leicester and surrounding areas. The role offers a 40-hour week, overtime at 1.5x, a company van, and a fuel card, with ongoing training and clear long-term progression.

You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites, working to the company’s safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar role.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Attend customer breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Complete job sheets and service documentation accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 Basic + Overtime (1.5x) + Company Van + Fuel Card

The Role

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites across Leicester and the surrounding areas.

Duties

• Service, maintain and repair a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Attend customer breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Vehicle Technician or similar.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
