Job summary

Plumbing Bias is recruiting a Mobile Facilities Maintenance Engineer to service multiple commercial sites across Doncaster and South Yorkshire. The role requires hands-on maintenance, plumbing tasks and site supervision, with a field-based schedule and flexible hours.

The successful candidate will travel to customer sites, perform reactive and preventative maintenance, and work on a variety of facilities tasks. A full UK driving licence and plumbing competence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in facilities maintenance or as a handyperson.
• Plumbing qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with fabric repairs such as carpentry, door locks, wall trims, painting/decoration.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of on-call rota (1 in 3).
• Ability to plan routes and work independently.
• Strong communication with clients.
• Motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to customer sites in South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Carrying out reactive, planned and preventative maintenance of commercial facilities.
• Carrying out general plumbing repairs on leaky pipes, replacing taps, unblocking toilets to fixing doors and hinges.
• Carrying out pump and grease trap maintenance.
• Ensuring that services and facilities within the site operate effectively, efficiently and safely.
• Preparation, implementation and monitoring of weekly, monthly and annual planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Managing own diary and travel logistics.
• Ensure standards of work are maintained and tasks are completed within the given timescale.
