Mobile Facilities Caretaker — Maintenance & Cleaning

Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team in the Buxton area. The role is part-time (18.5 hours per week), with split shifts from Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm.

You will perform caretaking duties, maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety tasks to keep the site safe and well-presented. We are looking for a customer-focused team player with a full clean manual driving licence, good communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Cleaning during office closed hours using cleaning machines.
• PAT testing experience would be desirable; painting and notices as needed.
