Job summary
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mobile Fabric Technician to support multiple client sites across the East Midlands & Staffordshire. You will deliver planned and reactive fabric maintenance, ensuring work is done safely, efficiently and to high standards.
The role requires experience in fabric maintenance or carpentry, a driving licence, and strong HSE knowledge. You will join a global organisation offering ongoing training and career development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience as Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance or similar role.
- City & Guilds / NVQ in Carpentry or equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong health & safety knowledge (COSHH, risk assessments).
- Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
- Undertake basic fabric maintenance (carpentry, flooring, ceilings, wall coverings).
- Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
- Carry out lighting maintenance, AHU/FCU filter changes, minor plumbing tasks.
- Conduct site surveys and assist in preparing work requests and risk assessments.
- Use handheld devices to manage work orders and updates.
