Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions seeks a Mobile Fabric Technician to deliver planned and reactive fabric maintenance across client sites in the East Midlands and Staffordshire. You will perform carpentry, lighting, plumbing, and general repairs to high standards.

Assets include using PDA for work orders, carrying out PPM tasks, and ensuring safety compliance. A full UK driving licence and safe working practices are essential for this role within a global real estate services leader.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Technician or building maintenance.
• Qualification in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to read technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance tasks and repairs within agreed timescales.
• Undertake basic fabric maintenance including carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings.
• Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
• Carry out lighting maintenance, lamp changes, and basic plumbing.
• Conduct site surveys and help produce risk assessments/method statements.
• Use PDA to manage work orders and updates.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance and minor projects.
• Collaborate with client representatives and colleagues.
• Ensure all work complies with safety legislation.
