Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Fabric Technician to deliver planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across client sites in the East Midlands and surrounding areas. You will perform carpentry, minor repairs, and building maintenance to high standards, ensuring safe and compliant work.

The role requires experience in fabric maintenance, a carpentry qualification, a full UK driving licence, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Technician or building maintenance.
• Qualification in Carpentry (City & Guilds / NVQ).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices (COSHH).

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance tasks and repairs within agreed timescales.
• Undertake basic fabric maintenance including carpentry, flooring, wall coverings, ceilings, and general building repairs.
• Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
• Carry out lighting maintenance, lamp replacements, AHU/FCU filter changes, and basic plumbing tasks.
• Conduct site surveys and assist in producing work requests, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Utilise handheld devices (PDA) to manage work orders, updates, and communications.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and minor project activities.
• Build strong working relationships with client representatives and colleagues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Support additional maintenance and facilities tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
