Job summary

Lancer Scott is seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer to cover the Exeter area on a range of contracts. You will deliver high-quality maintenance services for our clients, using your own initiative to resolve complex problems and provide clear write-ups of completed works.

Key requirements include a customer-focused attitude, excellent communication, and a valid UK driving license, with a trade qualification to at least NVQ/C&G L2-L3.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused attitude with practical problem solving
• Excellent communication as first point of contact for client and engineers
• Well-developed organisational skills to prioritise in fast-paced environment
• Collaborative approach to contribute to team success
• Relevant trade qualification to C&G or NVQ L2/L3
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building maintenance (reactive/remedial)
• Knowledge of building systems related to reactive tasks (fabric, carpentry, wet trades, plumbing, tiling, groundwork)
• IT confident; comfortable using tablet and updating work orders
• Current Full UK Driver’s Licence
• FDIS or equivalent Fire door qualification
• IOSH Working Safely or CSCS Card

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional maintenance services to high-profile clients and deliver quality work
• Solve technical problems in reactive maintenance, sourcing parts and seeking manufacturer support
• Provide detailed write-ups of works for client updates
• Complete works within agreed timescales and comply with regulations
• Maintain operation and maintenance logs and risk control measures
• Use PDAs or tablets to complete works
• Coordinate with Helpdesk for efficient response to all tasks
• Observe health and safety at all times and conduct risk assessments
• Interact with clients professionally every day
• Provide call-out response across all contracts
