Stuart Power in the UK is recruiting a Mobile Engineer to service and maintain our rental fleet of diesel-powered generators, pumps and lighting towers from the Shropham depot.

The role requires travel to customer sites across the region, a valid UK driving licence, and flexibility for on-call duties. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and prepare equipment for hire, ensuring reliability and performance.

Qualifications

A good knowledge of diesel engines.
Experience of working with generators and or pumps.
Good time management, ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
Good mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

Carry out service and repairs on our rental fleet at various sites and at depot.
Preparation of equipment for hire.
Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical issues on generators, pumps and lighting towers.
Identify parts required to facilitate effective repairs.
Load test on generators to ensure effectiveness of equipment.
Provide engineer support to depot operations.

Mobile Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity within our company for a Mobile Generator Service Engineer at our Shropham depot.

This role involves carrying out service and maintenance repairs on our rental fleet of diesel-powered generators, pumps and lighting towers.

The nature of this role requires travel to and from site for both service and breakdown calls therefore, a UK driving licence is essential.

This position is full time and flexibility in respect of working hours is expected, as is an availability to work the companies on call out of hours rota.

Duties Include:

Carry out service and repairs on our rental fleet at various sites and at depot
Preparation of equipment for hire
Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical issues on generators, pumps and lighting towers
Identify parts required to facilitate effective repairs
Load test on generators to ensure effectiveness of equipment
Provide engineer support to depot operations

Desirable But Not Essential:

Previous experience within a rental environment
Experience of generator control systems and control panels such as Deep Sea and Power Wizard
Forklift licence (training can be given)
