Wates Group is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (FM) to join our facilities management team on a prestigious contract. You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance across building services, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operation.

The role requires strong fault-finding skills, knowledge of statutory requirements, and the ability to work independently within a team. On-site presence is essential for delivering first-class service.

Qualificações

• Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, 18th edition etc).
• Experience in Facilities Management, Building Services, or Maintenance environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults across HVAC, plant equipment, electrical distribution, lighting, pumps, and controls.
• Complete tasks in line with SLAs and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems and provide clear reports on completed works.
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

The Role

As an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of building services systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring our clients' buildings remain compliant, safe, and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults across a variety of systems including HVAC, plant equipment, electrical distribution systems, lighting, pumps, and controls.
• Complete maintenance tasks in line with service level agreements and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities for improving system performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems and provide clear reports on completed works.
• Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure excellent service delivery.

What We're Looking For
