Job summary

Loreburn Housing Association is seeking a full-time, permanent in-house repairs operative to cover the Dumfries & Galloway East Area with travel across the region. Salary range £34,990 – £38,408 FTE plus a competitive benefits package.

You’ll join a team delivering Reactive and Void works, including DEICR, Smoke Alarm and Emergency Lighting programs, plus basic joinery, plastering and decorating as required. A full, clean driving licence is essential and Loreburn provides a van, tools and tech.

Qualifications

• Qualified to current IEE 18th Edition Regulations.
• Hold ACS Grade Card.
• Have a full clean valid driving licence.
• Demonstrate ability to develop new skills.
• Be able to provide guidance to apprentices.
• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours service.
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and risk management.
• Flexible approach to complete jobs.
• Independent worker but also a good team player.
• Willing to learn IT apps and update data.
• Use initiative in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Reactive and Void works including DEICR, Smoke Alarm and Emergency Lighting programs.
• Perform basic joinery, plastering, decoration as required.
• Deliver a responsive, right first time service.
• Travel across Dumfries & Galloway as part of the role.
• Work with the In-House Repairs Team Manager to meet targets.
