Job summary

Progress Housing Group is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Electrician to carry out domestic electrical repairs, maintenance and testing across our housing stock in Leyland. You’ll work field-based, with a company van for work use, and maintain structured hours to support work-life balance.

You will diagnose faults, perform installations and EICR testing where qualified, and ensure safe completion in occupied or void properties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing or equivalent).
• Strong electrical repairs, maintenance and installation experience.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out domestic electrical repairs, maintenance and small electrical installations.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible.
• Completing electrical inspection and testing, including EICR work, where qualified.
• Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Working safely and respectfully in tenants’ homes.
• Supporting void property turnaround by completing electrical works efficiently for faster re-lets.
• Using mobile technology to manage and update jobs in real time.
• Completing basic making-good (minor joinery/plumbing) where required.
• Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 20 weeks).
