Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Manchester is seeking a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. The role requires a hands-on problem solver with a strong maintenance background.

You will be responsible for fault-finding on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and for ensuring safe operations by following risk assessments and method statements. National and international standards apply.

Qualifications

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong manufacturing maintenance background with electrical/mechanical competence.
• City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition; NVQ Level 2 Electrical & Mechanical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks on site; update drawings and spares; improve equipment performance.
• Fault-finding on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to maintenance; work on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
• Write and follow risk assessments and method statements; maintain safe working environment.
• Use CAFM maintenance system to project and complete works with accuracy.
• Liaise with onsite service teams to manage building services issues.
