Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support PPM schedules and live site services across the Midlands and beyond. You will ensure electrical plant services comply with SFG20, BS7671, and QA standards, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work with clients and King & Moffatt management, manage subcontractors when required, produce RAMS, and contribute to continuous improvement in electrical maintenance across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in maintenance and PPM regimes to SFG20.
• Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with BMS controls and HVAC systems.
• Good technical knowledge with the ability to project manage and multitask.
• Ability to work to high standards with minimal supervision.
• Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, switchgear, and earthing systems (LV & HV).
• Eligibility to become a company SAP for LV systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections per SFG20.
• Communicate effectively with the client’s site engineering team and management.
• Maintain electrical plant services to industry standards.
• Oversee subcontractor activities with risk assessments and QA.
• Conduct electrical installations and upgrades per BS7671.
• Test and issue EICRs and Minor Works Certificates.
• Prepare RAMS and ensure adherence to project SPAs.
• Maintain accurate records via digital or paper-based systems.
• Participate in ongoing health, safety, quality and environmental culture.
