Job summary
Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting a Building Services electrical engineer to work mobile on live purpose built student accommodation around Birmingham and the surrounding area. You will deliver planned maintenance, reactive repairs, statutory compliance and small works across occupied student residences.
Role requires 18th Edition, NVQ3 in Electrotechnical Services and a full UK driving licence. Benefits include a company van, fuel card, training, pension and career progression within
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) with current amendment
- Inspection and testing qualification (C&G 2391/2394/2395) or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical PPM to SFG20 schedules (distribution boards, switchgear, lighting, small power)
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance to BS 5266
- Diagnose and repair reactive electrical faults within contracted response times
- Support for LV systems, including fire alarm, door access and nurse call where competent
- Record work in CAFM system with asset data and logs for audit
- Work under RAMS, permits to work, safe isolation and lock-out/tag-out
- Liaise with client site teams and residents to minimise disruption on occupied sites
