Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to deliver electrical PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple secure sites in Cambridgeshire. The role includes a company van and fuel card, with no call-out rota and a 9–5 weekday schedule.

You will carry out fault finding on electrical systems, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance across building services. The package includes ongoing training, 25 days leave, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications as listed (2365/2330/2360 or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of electrical systems and associated plant.
• Supporting general building services maintenance, including HVAC, mechanical and fabric-related tasks.
• Working across multiple commercial and secure sites throughout Cambridgeshire.
• Managing a mobile workload and prioritising reactive and planned maintenance requirements across the region.
• Issuing, controlling and managing Permits to Work where required.
• Monitoring subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standard.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service reports and compliance documentation.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements, RAMS, COSHH and safe systems of work.
• Providing a professional, customer-focused service to clients and site users.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting service innovation initiatives.
• Supporting the wider engineering team with technical knowledge and assistance when required.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering maintenance services across a portfolio of secure commercial properties throughout Cambridgeshire.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault-finding across electrical and associated building services systems. This is a mobile role covering multiple sites across Cambridgeshire, with a company van and fuel card provided. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring facilities and critical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
