Job summary

Boden Group is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial offices, retail and university environments across London and within the M25. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, and emergency lighting tests across multiple sites, with on-call duties in a 1-in-6 rota.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation and maintenance experience in a commercial/building services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Basic plumbing, mechanical or water hygiene awareness is advantageous.

Responsibilities

A leading company in the Facilities Management sector is hiring a Mobile Electrical Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial offices, retail and university environments across London and within the M25. This role is open to experienced engineers as well as newly qualified electricians with the right qualifications and a willingness to develop.

The Role As The Mobile Electrical Engineer, You’ll

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Complete electrical repairs, fault finding and general building services maintenance.
• Carry out emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Support basic plumbing, mechanical and fabric maintenance when required.
• Complete PPM and reactive tasks accurately through PDA/CAFM systems.
• Support specialist subcontractors and proactively identify building services faults.
• Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records.
• Participate in a 1-in-6 on-call rota for emergency call-outs.

You To be successful, you’ll bring:

• City & Guilds 2360/2330 Electrical Installation & Maintenance or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Electrical maintenance experience within a commercial or building services environment.
• L8 Awareness and general knowledge of building services.
• A flexible, customer-focused approach to working across multiple locations.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience with AHUs, emergency lighting, fire alarms, plumbing or water hygiene would be advantageous.
• Newly qualified engineers with strong core electrical qualifications will also be considered.
