Ainscough Crane Hire in Bristol is seeking an experienced CPCS Blue Card Mobile Crane Operator to join our depot. You will operate mobile cranes safely, deliver high-quality service and work on challenging lifting projects.

You’ll hold a CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation, a full UK driving licence and strong knowledge of safe crane operations. Pride in safety and a customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV Class C licence.
• In-date CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation.
• Previous experience operating mobile cranes.
• Strong understanding of safe crane operations.
• Knowledge of wind effects on cranes and loads.
• Good understanding of road traffic regulations.
• Confidence to stop an operation if unsafe.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and professionally, delivering first-class service to customers.
• Set up and use outriggers correctly and safely.
• Check rated capacity limiter and indicator.
• Carry out pre-use and operational checks.
• Work safely in line with site requirements and regulations.
• Liaise with Site Managers and Project Managers on arrival on site.
• Read and apply crane duty charts and documentation.
• Assess wind and environmental conditions affecting crane.
• Stop operations if conditions are unsafe.
• Follow PPE requirements and maintain personal safety.
• Complete training on crane models and update knowledge.
• Maintain crane and complete documentation accurately.
• Represent Ainscough professionally to customers.
• Continually look for ways to improve.
