Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator for our West London depot. You’ll operate cranes safely and deliver a high standard of service to customers on challenging lifts across sites.

Expect a safety-first mindset, strong knowledge of crane operation, and the ability to communicate effectively with site teams. We value experience and a commitment to doing things safely.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held.
• HGV Class C licence held.
• CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation.
• Experience operating mobile cranes.
• Strong understanding of safe crane operations.
• Knowledge of wind and load effects on cranes and loads.
• Good knowledge of road traffic regulations.
• Ability to stop operations if unsafe.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and professionally on site.
• Set up outriggers correctly and safely.
• Check rated capacity limiter and indicator before lifts.
• Perform pre-use and operational checks on crane.
• Work with site teams and managers on arrival.
• Read and apply crane duty charts and documentation.
• Assess wind and environmental conditions affecting loads.
• Cease operations if conditions are unsafe.
• Ensure proper manual handling and PPE use.
• Maintain crane and complete documentation accurately.
• Represent the company professionally to customers.
• Look for ways to improve processes and safety.
