North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Mobile Cook to cover in Whitby, Scarborough, Ryedale and surrounding areas. This term-time-only, permanent role offers 25 hours per week with a flexible pattern and regular travel between schools across North Yorkshire.

You will prepare nutritious meals, lead kitchen teams, manage orders and maintain high food-safety standards, while experiencing varied surroundings in the region. DBS required and a welcome recruitment payment is available.

Passionate about cooking? Looking for a role that fits around you? We are currently recruiting a Mobile Cook to cover in Whitby, Scarborough, Ryedale and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is reliable, enjoys variety and looking for a flexible working pattern.

You'll travel between schools, taking in the stunning North Yorkshire landscape along the way. From the dramatic Yorkshire coastline and bustling seaside towns to picturesque market towns, peaceful countryside and rolling moors, you'll work in some of the region's most beautiful surroundings.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. You'll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious school meals using locally sourced ingredients
• Leading and supporting kitchen teams to deliver an excellent service
• Serving meals to pupils and staff with a friendly, customer-focused approach
• Managing food orders and stock levels
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Completing food safety records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

As a Mobile Cook, you'll travel between schools, providing support wherever it's needed and helping ensure every kitchen delivers a fantastic dining experience for children.
