Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Compliance Technician (mobile area) to support the Technical Supervisor and Area Operations Manager in delivering planned and corrective testing, inspection and maintenance services for statutory building systems across designated sites.

You will help maintain a safe, compliant estate, record corrective actions, and coordinate with Operations, Compliance and Helpdesk while ensuring equipment calibration and timely certifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health, Safety and environmental requirements related to delivery of tasks.
• LOLER or PFE competency.
• Recognised qualification in one or more deliverable areas.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned test, inspection and maintenance programme timely to the nominated compliance remit in accordance with legislative requirements, business policy, procedure and engineering standards.
• Deliver a safe and compliant estate professionally and with integrity, identifying and removing risks in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Record and undertake corrective actions immediately where identified for nominated compliance remit.
• Identify and record corrective actions through duty of care on behalf of the business that are outside compliance remit.
• Deliver planned corrective maintenance programmes timely to the nominated compliance remit in accordance with legislative requirements, policy, procedure, and engineering standards.
• Undertake risk assessment prior to corrective maintenance work and document to evidence safe working practice.
• Ensure assets are appropriately certificated and timely in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Support workflow efficiency and liaise with Operations, Compliance and Helpdesk for planned and corrective maintenance tasks management.
• Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, maintained and meets current regulations.
• Maintain relevant correspondence, records and files in line with policy.
• Complete Site Activity Log Books timely and accurately.
• Support continuous improvement in compliance strategy and delivery.
• Provide assistance, expert advice and guidance to customers on request.
• Support ad-hoc compliance/ technical engineering reports as required.
• Accountable for standard or non-standard tasks within compliance area.
• Undertake Control of Works AP role and assist in identifying other APs and CPs in cluster.
• Act as part of a team to deliver activities supporting technical and compliance objectives.
• Manage varied tasks and plan within the short-term.
• Make decisions within parameters set by Technical Supervisor (Compliance) or Compliance Manager.
• May be subject to supervision and escalate issues when required.
• Interacts with stakeholders around work efforts and deliverables.
• Support Health and Safety policy and standards.
• Support activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Assist in cost reduction opportunities.
• May work within a budget.
• Responsible use of company Purchase Card.
• May assist less experienced staff.
• Manage the delivery of a team and escalate performance issues.
