Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Cleaning Operative to support clean and welcoming environments across sites in Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield. The role requires travel between locations, a reliable approach, and a 40-hour week with some weekend work.

You will contribute to high standards of cleanliness, work with security teams as needed, and promote a safe, comfortable setting for residents and staff. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and hold valid ID.
• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Flexibility to travel across Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield areas.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and work across multiple sites in Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield, providing cleaning support where required.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
• Carry out periodic deep cleaning as directed by your supervisor.
• Keep kitchens, toilets and communal areas clean, hygienic and presentable.
• Replenish essential supplies, including toilet tissue and hand soap.
• Work closely with colleagues and security teams, reporting faults, hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use cleaning products and equipment correctly.

Looking for a hands-on role with variety and a sense of purpose? Join Sodexo as a Mobile Cleaning Operative, supporting clean, safe and welcoming environments across multiple sites.

Please note: this is a mobile role covering sites across Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield. You will be required to travel between locations to meet business needs, so please consider the travel requirements before applying.

40 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30, with occasional weekend work

£12.71 per hour

Location: multiple sites across Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield

Applicants must be aged 18 or over and hold valid ID

Job Introduction

As a Mobile Cleaning Operative at Sodexo, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across Approved Premises in the Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield area.

You will provide cleaning cover across different locations, with flexibility to work at the sites where support is needed. You’ll bring a reliable, adaptable approach and take pride in creating comfortable surroundings for residents and staff.

Approved Premises support individuals released from prison, providing enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. Working in these residential settings, you’ll encounter people with varied and complex needs. Your everyday work will help create a respectful, welcoming environment that supports positive change.

What you’ll do

What you bring

Full UK manual driving licence

The ability to travel across the Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield area and flexibility to work at different sites.

• A reliable approach, good timekeeping and pride in a job well done.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently, follow instructions and contribute to a team.
• A flexible approach to changing priorities and working environments.
• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning products would be helpful, but are not essential — full training will be provided.
