Job summary

The Thorn Baker Group is recruiting a Mobile Cleaner to support multiple leisure facilities across Central Scotland. You will travel between sites, ensuring high cleaning standards are maintained and reporting to the Area Manager.

The role covers gyms, studios, poolside areas and changing rooms with a range of shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence, be reliable and detail-minded, and comfortable working independently

Mobile Cleaner – Central Scotland

£14.50 per hour | 30–40 hours per week

Initial 3-month assignment, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following review.

Do you enjoy variety in your working day and take pride in delivering high cleaning standards? We’re looking for a reliable, flexible and motivated Mobile Cleaner to support multiple leisure facilities across Central Scotland.

Working as part of an established cleaning team, you’ll travel between various sites, helping maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation. You’ll work closely with site teams and report directly to the Area Manager.

What you’ll be doing

• Cleaning gyms, studios and communal leisure facilities.
• Deep cleaning changing rooms and floor areas.
• Maintaining high standards across poolside areas, spas and glass surfaces.
• Cleaning toilets, showers and other customer facilities.
• Operating cleaning machinery and using products safely, with training provided.
• Supporting existing cleaning teams during busy periods and providing cover where required.

What we’re looking for

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
• A positive attitude with a strong eye for detail.
• Someone reliable, organised and confident working independently.
• Flexibility to travel between different sites and work with different teams.
• Availability to cover morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, particularly within leisure, gym or commercial environments.

Hours and flexibility

You’ll work between 30–40 hours per week, covering sites operating between 6:00am and 10:00pm.

Shifts will vary and may include mornings, evenings and weekends. Rotas will aim to be confirmed at least one week in advance, although some flexibility will be required to meet operational needs.
