Job summary

Veolia is seeking a field-based CHP Service Engineer to service and maintain CHP plants across Yorkshire. You will visit customer sites, diagnose faults, and perform engine servicing using company vehicles, while adhering to all safety rules.

Qualifications

• CHP system expertise and relevant qualification.
• Electrical & technical proficiency.
• Engine diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
• Valid driving licence required.
• Health, safety and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with Veolia policies and procedures.
• Be aware of all VCHP safety rules.
• Visit customer sites for CHP servicing and breakdown response using company vehicles.
• Understand engine manufacturers servicing schedules.
• Operate with electrical drawings and OEM software.
• Support Customer Account Manager and Team Leaders on CHP maintenance and fault finding.
• Carry out duties associated with CHP plant and related areas as directed.
• Provide hands-on advanced electrical training to Service Engineers when required.
• Support regions with in-depth fault finding as directed by Operations Manager.
• Perform engine servicing within agreed timescales.
• Diagnose issues affecting engine reliability and return to service.
