Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting Chaperone Technicians to support our EOS contract. This mobile role combines chaperone and escort duties with general building maintenance across designated government sites.

You will escort contractors and authorised personnel, undertake planned and reactive maintenance, and help ensure safety and compliance. The role involves travel within the region and participating in the callout rota. A current UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within building maintenance, fabric maintenance or a general handyperson role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chaperone and escorting duties across designated sites.
• Escort contractors and authorised personnel while they complete work within secure environments and report remedial works to the engineers and supervisors.
• Plan, inspect and complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements promptly.
• Complete delegated reactive work orders and planned preventative maintenance within agreed budgets, quality standards and contractual SLAs and KPIs.
• Undertake basic general building-fabric and maintenance repairs.
• Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, masonry, locksmith and ceiling-grid or tile repairs where required
• Provide general handyman services, including relevant L8 duties.
• Support and assist the wider maintenance team (supervisor and engineers) with other facilities-related work when required.
