Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join the Facilities Team in the Buxton area. The role is 25 hours per week with shifts Monday to Friday, between 7am and 7pm. You will perform caretaking tasks, including basic maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety record-keeping.

Candidates should have strong customer service, be a team player, and hold an enhanced DBS and a full clean driving licence. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Great team player with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Willingness to attend Health and Safety training and maintain records.
• Enhanced DBS is required and a full clean manual driving license is expected.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems are functioning properly.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Cleaning during office closed hours and using cleaning machines as required.
