Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Relief Mobile Caretaker to support the Facilities Team. The role covers annual leave and sickness with a focus on maintenance, minor repairs, and monitoring safety systems to keep sites safe, clean and welcoming.

Shifts come in two short blocks, with travel time and mileage paid. An Enhanced DBS check is required. You will work independently and contribute to high service standards across multiple client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar caretaking, facilities or maintenance environment.
• Enhanced DBS check required and eligibility checks completed.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems operate correctly
• Completing and recording routine checks and keeping health and safety records
• Monitoring site stock levels and carrying out cleaning duties where required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, security and presentation across sites
• Providing high quality caretaking services so client environments stay safe, secure, clean and welcoming
• Demonstrating a strong awareness of health and safety and attending relevant training

Job description

Relief Mobile Caretaker post in the Facilities Team at Vertas Group, offered on a zero hours contract to cover annual leave and sickness. The work centres on day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, checking heating, lighting and alarm systems, keeping records, and maintaining client sites to a clean, secure standard. Shifts fall in two short blocks, early morning and late afternoon, with travel time and mileage paid. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
