Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking Mobile Care Assistants to support homeowners across York, Pocklington and Stamford Bridge, providing personal care, domestic tasks and companionship.

This field-based role requires a valid UK driving licence and access to your own car; travel between developments is expected with mileage paid. The role offers flexible hours, including mornings, evenings and alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal skills, empathy and time management.
• Full training provided for career changers; prior care experience is not required.
• Driving license and access to own car are essential for travel between developments.

Responsibilities

• Support Individual Homeowners: provide personalised care, including help with daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance.
• Domestic: maintain communal areas in developments, including cleaning and shopping support.
• Social Support: assist with social activities, transport arrangements, and appointments to enhance wellbeing.
