Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is looking for passionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our care team in South Shields and surrounding areas. This field-based role requires travel between developments to deliver personal care and domestic services with flexibility to cover mornings, evenings and weekends.

The position offers £14.50 per hour with an extra 30p per hour for evening hours, and requires a valid UK driving licence along with access to a car. Training is provided and travel expenses are reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care environment preferred but not essential; full training provided.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and good time management.
• Driving licence required and access to own car; travel between developments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care including help with daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Assist with domestic tasks to maintain communal areas in developments.
• Support social activities, transport arrangements, and appointments for homeowners.
• Ensure a clean, welcoming environment in communal areas.
