Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Lead Mobile Maintenance Engineer to provide expert electrical and building services maintenance across a portfolio of Central London sites. You will be the go-to technical specialist, ensuring safety, compliance, and high uptime across multiple sites.

You will lead complex issues, coach other engineers, and prioritise tasks across a busy patch. The role requires strong fault-finding, broad system knowledge, and excellent communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrical or Mechanical (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition.
• Strong background in commercial maintenance, ideally mobile/multi-site.
• Excellent fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills.
• Confident across a portfolio with varied building systems.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive electrical and building services maintenance across multiple Central London sites.
• Act as the technical lead, supporting site teams with troubleshooting, capacity planning, and system optimisation.
• Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements, health & safety standards, and internal procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks and provide guidance to engineers and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records, service reports, and compliance documentation.
• Build relationships with clients, providing clear communication and technical advice.
• Support improvement initiatives across the site portfolio, including system reliability and capacity performance.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Mobile Maintenance Engineer to provide technical expertise across a portfolio of commercial sites in Central London. You will be the go‑to technical specialist, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and compliant maintenance of building systems.

This is a mobile role where you will support several buildings, lead on complex issues, and ensure smooth operation across your designated patch.
